British neobank Revolut has rolled out an iPad POS application for the hospitality industry which combines payment processing with analytics.
Revolut introduced the Point of Sale iPad app that focuses on businesses of all sizes operating in the hospitality industry.
The new POS solution is an all-in-one application that features multiple important business aspects, including payments, transactions, order taking, table and store management. All these operational categories can be managed from one screen via Revolut POS.
The app provides business owners with plenty of insights into their business performance with reporting and analytics tools available via Revolut Business. Here one can track sales trends, check inventory levels, and more to make data-driven business decisions.
According to the challenger bank, the Point of Sale iPad app is simple and straightforward, enabling hospitality employees to start using it almost right away, with minimal time needed for setup and training. Besides, it can be customised with individual menus, table mapping, or personalised branding.
The solution integrates seamlessly with the Revolut Reader – the firm’s card reader, which allows businesses to accept in-person card and contactless payments in multiple currencies.
Transaction fees while using the Point of Sale iPad app start at 0.8% + £0.02. The fees depend on the type of payment processed and are higher for international or commercial cards. For example, the transaction fee for an online payment made via international and commercial cards equals 2.8% + £0.20. If one uses the Revolut Pay frictionless checkout option, the fee will be much lower – 1% + £0.20. At the same time, businesses with high monthly volumes can discuss custom rates with the neobank. The firm claims its fee policy is transparent, so there are no unexpected hidden charges.
“Revolut Point of Sale embodies our dedication to customer-centric solutions for thriving businesses in today’s dynamic market. Its user-friendly interface and robust features streamlines the way businesses manage store operations, while our low transaction fees and 24-hour settlement ensure swift access to funds without business delays. We’re looking forward to seeing more and more stores and restaurants growing their business by leveraging the rich ecosystem of Revolut products.”
Alex Eguileor, General Manager of Merchant Acquiring, Revolut
