The Chinese company Baidu on Tuesday, November 12, presented new apps for its artificial intelligence technology.
Among the new products of the mentioned player in the Chinese technology sector, an improved functional solution for converting text materials into images should be mentioned separately. Also, as part of its updated artificial intelligence product line, Baidu offers a tool that allows users to develop software apps without coding expertise.
It is worth noting that the mentioned company’s ownership structure includes China’s leading search engine. This firm is one of the many technology brands that are currently aiming to commercialize large language model apps. For almost two years, the company has been actively investing in research in the area of artificial intelligence and the development of AI models, which it positions as alternatives to OpenAI’s GPT.
At the annual Baidu World Conference, the chief executive officer of the firm Robin Li presented the above-mentioned text-to-image conversion technology called I-RAG. This technology uses the capabilities of the company’s search engine to solve the so-called hallucination problem. In this case, it implies a malfunction in the functioning of artificial intelligence systems, in which AI generates content that does not correspond to the user’s request or includes something that should not be according to the formulation of the task from the consumer.
Robin Li stated that Baidu’s Ernie platform currently handles 1.5 billion user queries and interactions daily. These interactions include generating text, answering questions, and assisting with various apps utilizing AI.
As we have reported earlier, Baidu Launches Upgraded AI Model.
