Dutch online payment processor Mollie has raised 25 million euros from a group of technology and payment entrepreneurs. With the money, Mollie wants to accelerate its expansion through Europe, according to Ecommerce News.
It’s the first time?Mollie?has raised money. Since the founding in 2004, the company managed to become a profitable business without any investors involved. With the millions of euros it now gets, Mollie wants to accelerate growth in Europe and further expand its team and operations.
The team of investors includes tech entrepreneurs, such as founders and management teams of Check24 and Klarna, payment operators such as founders of Latin American payment service provider StoneCo, (previous) executives of PayPal and Worldpay and founders and executives of leading global investment funds.
