The report surveyed 1,000 US consumers
According to a survey, 46% of respondents said that given the choice, they prefer to shop in person rather than online.
Meanwhile, 90% of consumers say they are more likely to return again, whereas 61% of consumers would spend more at a location. 65% of consumers say they are likely to spend more online with a brand — all if they have a positive offline experience.
Along with that, 48% of respondents said they have replaced products they typically purchase at physical stores with competitors’ online alternatives. 25% of Americans said they switch brands more often today than ever before.
We’ve reported that 59% of European companies depend on online marketplaces for their online sales. That’s up from 46% of American companies. In the pre-COVID-19 period, online marketplaces had a 28% share, while during the pandemic it increased to 38%.
