Nowadays, PayPal covers more than 200 markets around the world
LearnBonds found that the quarterly number of PayPal payments grew 85% over the last three years, reaching 3.2 billion in Q1 2020.
According to information, thousands of retailers and digital content sellers chose PayPal for in-store payments or digital wallet top-ups. Recently, even brick-and-mortar shops started accepting PayPal as a mobile payment method.
As of Q1 2017, PayPal carried out 1.7 billion transactions around the world. By the beginning of 2018, this figure increased 30% to 2.2 billion.
The data reveals that the quarterly number of PayPal payments kept on rising and hit 2.8 billion in Q1 2019. The report stated that PayPal saw $712 billion in total payment volume at the end of 2019, which is 23% higher compared to 2018 figures.
We’ve reported that PayPal has announced integration with ECOMMPAY to pilot the PayPal Commerce Platform. The platform was launched in 2019, designed to work with other tech platforms, payment networks, banks, and merchants to simplify payments and create convenient experiences for merchants and customers.
