In recent weeks, JPMorgan Chase has implemented a digital assistant based on generative artificial intelligence for its employees.
The launch of the mentioned virtual product is part of the process of implementing the plan of the specified financial institution, which is the largest in the United States banking system and one of the largest globally, to integrate machine intelligence technologies into all segments of its activity space.
The program, called LLM Suite, is currently available to more than 60,000 bank employees. A digital assistant based on generative artificial intelligence can handle tasks such as writing emails and reports. The media, citing anonymous insiders who are aware of the plans of the largest financial institution in the United States to introduce AI technologies, informed that over time, LLM Suite will become as widespread in the lender’s corporate space as the Zoom video conferencing program.
JPMorgan Chase does not have its own artificial intelligence models. Perhaps, over time, the financial institution will begin to develop digital products of the appropriate category, but for now, it offers the LLM Suite as a kind of portal through which users can tap into external large language models. In this case, OpenAI technologies are used as a functional machine intelligence platform.
Teresa Heitsenrether, the bank’s chief data and analytics officer, said during a conversation with media representatives that the lender strives to be able to move pretty fluidly from one artificial intelligence model to another, depending on the use cases. She also underlined that the financial institution does not intend to focus on interaction with only one AI technology provider.
It is worth noting that during the period of active dissemination and development of artificial intelligence, the issue of cybersecurity is of particular importance. Scammers also have access to advanced technology. In the context of these realities, the personal awareness of users is very important. For example, a query in an Internet search engine, such as how to know if my camera is hacked, will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device.
