PayPal announced a multi-year strategic partnership with the global entertainment company Live Nation Entertainment, becoming the preferred payments partner
The newly-established long-term partnership between PayPal and Live Nation Entertainment enables millions of?fans across the US and internationally to?use PayPal, PayPal Pay Later and Venmo for payments across Ticketmaster’s platform.
Besides,?PayPal Braintree will become Ticketmaster’s primary global payment processor. This will speed up the checkout process and give direct access to event add-ons like merchandise?and parking payments.
The fans using PayPal payment solutions will be glad to know their purchases are covered by Purchase Protection and protected with advanced fraud detection technology. In addition, they can use one-time logins to save?their information for future?purchases and faster checkout.
The partnership gives fans multiple convenient and flexible payment options:
- PayPal Checkout: supports various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, PayPal balance, bank withdrawal, etc.
- PayPal Pay Later:?fans may pay for purchases evenly over a few weeks or months in fixed instalment amounts.
- Venmo: Ticketmaster fans in the US get the option to split their payments upon purchase in the social app or through Venmo checkout.
According to Peggy Alford, EVP of Global Sales, PayPal, consumers are almost three times more likely to finalise their ticket purchase to a live entertainment event when they see PayPal as a checkout option. Therefore, the partnership is a good way for Live Nation Entertainment to increase its conversion and customer retention levels.
Furthermore, the partnership includes an expanded global marketing program to drive engagement and fan loyalty through exclusive experiences and offers. For instance, the fans buying tickets to major festivals like Bonnaroo, BottleRock, or Lollapalooza with PayPal and Venmo will be rewarded with ticket discounts and Cashless credits.
Last month, PayPal rolled out passkeys for Google Android devices.
